Is it worth getting the PS3?

I'm thinking about getting a PS3 now instead of an xbox 360



Is there anything I should know that doesn't come with the playstation 3? Like with the xbox i have to buy a 2 year warranty would I need to buy one for the playstation 3?

BUY A PS3, i had an xbox 360 for about a year and never even owned a PlayStation until my 360 broke from the red ring of death and ps3 is way better then my 360 ever was it has absolutely everything, built in Internet, built in Internet play unlike 360 its free and really good most of the time, great graphics, blu ray!!!and even more, its deff the best buy. You can put word on it put a printer on it put a keyboard, a camera, tons of things on it its amazing. and only 50 bucks more then 360. It has a one year warranty for free, but the olny things it donesnt come with that my 360 had was an hd cable and a headset for talking online. you should buy it today it suppose to last like 20 years and a bunch of games are about to come out for it

It is a myth to get a warranty. All systems regardless of anything gives you a warranty through the company. Almost everything comes with the ps3. It really should be more than what it is sold for. Right now as of January it has been in second place and catching up to ht wii fast! There are so many titles coming out for ps3. The only thing that doesn't come with the ps3 is an HDMI cable. Not a problem if you don't have an HDTV. If you do have an HDTV make sure you get HDMI that way you can have the best HD picture possible and a 1080p DVD upconverter. The cell processor on the ps3 three is a multiple cell processor that was made by SCEA (sony), Toshiba, and IBM. It is better than 360's single cell processor. Soon in the next few years the ps3 will be dominating. Just have patience and get a ps3 while you can.

You don't have to buy a warranty with the xbox. In fact, the Red Ring is in warranty for 3 years.



As for PS3 vs Xbox, there are many arguements. Both systems are worth the money, though. I happen to like the Xbox better right now b/c of its online features, gamerscore, and I know a lot of friends with the Xbox. However, when MSG4 and FFXIII come out, the PS3 will be a hot system to have.

It's currently the best bluray player available, Sony supports installing Linux on it, and you don't have to pay to play online. So I'd say it's worth it

Yes it's worth it. It's one of the cheapest blu-ray players you can buy out there, and good quality to boot. And yes, get the warranty.

PS3 is worth every penny. Its awesome.
