Not really. The picture quality will be great, but LCD's have some minor issues. First off, their light bulbs have a lifetime between 5000 hours and 7500 hours. So you will have to spend about $300 every 2 years for a new bulb. They are also louder than other tv's. Their color wheel makes a loud humming noise. I would suggest getting an led dlp. They have the same picture quality. Their light bulbs are about twice as expensive, but they last over 50,000 hours. They also don't have a color wheel so it is much quiter. They also don't suffer burn in's like most LCD's do.





I know the tv in the link I gave you is 400 more than your limit, but check it out anyway. You might just want to wait and buy it. It's what I use for my 360 and PS3, and I love it.

that lcd doesnt have 1080p only 1080i not as good

HDMI components are good to have as AV plugs as well

get a HDMI pc monitor, it will look much better and be cheaper!
