Which cable should i get for my ps3 to hdtv its a 720p?

May be...
  • ok i dont know which cables to use the multi colored with like 5 plugins or the single HDMI cable which is better?
  • HDMI cables are digital and generally regarded as being better. The cheapest source seems to be monoprice.com. I'm sure many others here will attest to their fast shipping and good service.

Edit: Once you connect the cable, be sure to configure your PS3 to output 720p to your TV. Just last night I went to check out someone's new TV. Immediately I could tell it was displaying in 480p, they thought it looked awesome and was working perfectly, until I properly set up their system to output in 1080i.
  • For 720p it doesn't make much difference, but you may as well get HDMI because it is overall better, and you can get one for a lower price than the ps3 component video cable costs.

$5 to $10 from reputable online sellers, is all a good HDMI cable costs.

Don't buy an expensive HDMI cable, they are for suckers. HDMI carries a digital signal that is not improved by things like gold-plated connectors.
  • I would just get the HDMI cables produced by Sony. There usually the same price as the component cables; also if you ever get a HD TV that supports 1080 you'll have the HDMI cable all ready.
  • Get component in my own experience I cant really tell the difference from HDMI(in a 720p TV set)+ they are much cheaper! GOOD LUCK
  • HDMI is the better cable to use but the component cable will look just as good for you...
