Why doesn't my headset work for my PS3?

May be...

I have Rainbow six vegas for my ps3 and i got a headset,but once i got into the match for the game it would say the ethernet cable is not connected and i even returned it and got another one but still the same thing happened please tell me what the problem is. I will give a best answer for the best.

well if its bluetooth, then register it, and the same thing happened to me, once u are in the game, then press the middle button on the headset ( the button that turns the headset on) and then it will be connected! Well I got my headset yesterday, and then i couldn't get it to work on rainbow six vegas, but then i watched this video, and it worked !
