Ps2 and Ps3 is the price difference worth it?

I mean why pay £49.99 for a game on ps3 that you can buy on ps2 for £20 what difference does it make

For the two different games, usually no. I would get it on the chepaer, but on PS3 you get greatly improved graphics and content and can get downloadable content as well. But thats for like mercenaries. If your buying games like Ratatoulle and The Simpsons Game there is basically no difference.

well duh...ps3 is a new techonolgy it has tons of feature from graphic and storages space and load time and lots of feature playstation 2 is old news they stop making alotta game from it now they mainly focusing on ps3 now so its time to get a ps3 and ps2 is sadly dead my friend that why its so cheap.

It's like asking is the price difference is worth getting a Mercedes over a Kia. You get what you pay for. The PS3 is far superior in every way over the PS2. If I was out to buy a console now, I wouldn't think twice. PS3 hands down for me.

it isnt £49.99 unless you buy from shops like curry or pc world. you can get games for less than that. do not buy from game or gamestation as they will rip you off. and you can save a few quid from buying online. ps2 games has crappy graphics and is not next-gen gaming.

Three reasons

1. The graphics are better

2.The disk is a different format (PS2=DVD, PS3=Blu-Ray)

3.The PS3 is the big thing in PlayStation at the moment (literally, the PS3 is bigger than the PS2 or PSP or PS1)
