Can a PS3 play PS2 and PS games??? If so....HOW???

can't u buy PS and PS2 games on a PS3 also....how do u do that???

The 60g and 80g can play PS2 games with the 60g have BC with all the games and 80g having BC with most. All three versions have BC with PS1 one games and you can download PS1 games from the PSN store. (I'm pretty sure the 40g has BC with PS1 games however not 100% sure)



Edit: You can also just slide the disks in, just to be clear. That way you don't have to buy them twice.

all the ps3 models can play ps2 and ps games except for the 40 gb model. u just have to insert the disk in the system and u can play.



to buy ps and ps2 games u have to dowload them through the ps store for about $10 each. the games save to ur hard drive.

the 40gb cant but the rest can and you don't need to re buy them just slide the disc in the ps3. This is done by software emulation.
