Do you know why no bc for ps3.?

May be...
  • Why if everyone wants backwards comatability sony is making it impossible by throwing away the 60 gig and 20 gig. As well as making the 80 gig exactly like the 40 gig (no backwards compatability).
  • sony isnt taking away backwards compatibility.

the 40 gig is bieng upgraded to 80 gigs, and cost 400 bucks.

but the 80 gig with emulation is still in production and costs 500 bucks.

if u think im just makin up BS- look here...http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PlayStation...
  • They are relying on their PS3 software (PS3 games) to make up for all the money they are losing because they sell the PS3 at a reduced price.

So if someone buys a PS3 and then buys a ton of $10-$20 PS2 games, it isn't helping the situation. So they "force" you to buy PS3 games at $60.
  • they want to make the PS3 's as cheap and as small as possible and so this is done by not including backward compatibility.
  • theyre not making the 80gb like th 40, theyre making a new version that has the same features as the 40gb with a larger hard drive
  • Kinda sucks, wish they had made it BC, as i had hundreds of ps2 games :(

Cant beleive they wiped out BC

Guess it raises their profets tho
  • to cut production costs.
