Playstation 2 controller is VERRRY Sticky!!?

Hi... I havent played my ps2 in like 2 years, so a couple of days ago i started playing kingdom hearts. I noticed that the controller was really sticky( the 2 buttons in the middle im not sure what there called. The black buttons.) No1s even touched my ps2. I used water to gently try and clean it off but its still sticky. Has this happened to any1? If so, how do I fix this?? Thank you in advance!

Try some rubbing alcohol. It kind of sounds like either someone spilled something on it and didn't mention it to you, or the rubber in the buttons was exposed to something that caused it to start to break down (they get sticky when that happens).

My old controller got sticky and the buttons

stoppted working...I used it a little bit and then it worked a bit longer...

I think the gunk comes from hands and harderns after a long time of not playing...

If this problem keeps happening you should try and get a new controller...

what probably happened is that some pieces probably the start and select buttons(yes those to middle black ones) melted and got sticky its pretty much impossible to get off u need a scraper and it will take HOURS!I say if your planing on playing it again get new controllers

ok so your controller is sticking tbe is 2 ways to deal with it



1- just keep playing and it might stop sticking its self





2- get a new controller thats all i have right now hope they work

to get it to unstick just apply a little rubbing alcohol on a paper towel and rub the paper towel on the two buttons then wait half an hour then it will be ok
