PSP Custom firmware question (3.71 M33)?

May be...
  • I'm new with CFW. Befor I had only OFW. Now I've got 3.71 M33-2 installed, but where do I put games (for example game comes in this way: 1 folder named PSP_GAME and 1 file named UMD_DATA). Where do I put them on PSP? Where do I put games in .cso and .iso format. Exact instructions, please. Thanx.
  • You put ISO/CSO games in a folder called ISO in the root folder. You then launch them from GAme>Memory Stick on the XMB.

For homebrew games/apps/emulators you usually follow the readme to find out where exactly to put it.

Usually there is a folder with:

    Eboot.PBP

as well as someo other files

this should be called [App. Name]

and there should be another with just the Eboot in it called:

    [App. Name]%

This is a shortcut to the application to get past any security.

Other folder layouts will be explained in the readme, one example of the is the gameboy advance emulator GBSP_Kai.

If you want any emulators or hacks or anything go to :

    http://dl.qj.net

Its where i get all of mine and they all have easy to understand read me files.

PS. CFW 4.01 M33-2 is out already.

    PPS.

With the one you have ignore UMD_DATA and take the PSp_Game folder and rename it GAME adn stick it in a folder called PSP. If this doesnt work then take the PSP_Game folder and put it in a folder called Game and that in a folder called PSP.
  • you know when you plug in your psp to your usb right ?, it will show you if you want to open folder or play music or view pics or sometin like that click on open folder, once your there you have to create an ISO folder. Dont go to any folder and make the ISO folder there, just do it when the memory stick folder opens. Once you created the folder you now can play your psp games. The ISO folder can let you save iso's/cso's type games

TIP on downloading games: If you download a .RAR game you need to extract it using winRAR, It wont work if you put the .RAR game file psp without extracting it. PSP CFW can only read cso's/iso's. But in that .RAR file, there is a hidden

CSO or ISO file so you can play it, but extract the file first.

    Hope this Helps =)
  • Hey bull goose glad to see you actually asking a question instead of answering =P. Anyways so once you hook up your psp via usb cable scroll all the way to the left and click on usb connection. Then go to your drive that pops up. On your root of your memory stick (main screen) make a folder called ISO. yes it must be all capitalized. This is where your cso's and your iso's go. If you need any help at all just e-mail me or im me at:
