Which ps3 models have backwards compatability and wifi??
May be...
Which ones have both?60gb and 80gb... but the new 80gb core console coming out next month won't have backwards compatibility... so if you need that then you need to pick up an 80gb soon because you can't really find 60gbs except for on ebay. they all have wifi except the 20gb which is even harder to find than the 60gb.In North America and Japan, the only ones that have both WiFi and PS2 compatibility are the old 60GB model and the CURRENT 80GB model (not the new 80GB model that is set to appear soon).
In Europe, the only one that has both is the old 60GB model. There is now NO current model in Europe that can play PS2 games, and it is being phased out in North America and Japan too.
It seems that any future model of PS3 will not have backward compatibility with PS2 games, only PS1 games.
The only other PS3 that has PS2 compatibility is the unpopular 20GB model, which doesn't have WiFi and is now quite hard to find. The only reason Sony ever made the 20GB model is so they could launch the PS3 at a $499 price point, it was discontinued pretty soon afterwards. All of them have wi-fi except the 20gb. All have backwards compatability except the 40gb. The 80gb is the only one still in production that has boththey all have wi-fi but the 60gb and 80gb r the only ones that have backwards compatibility.20, 60, and 80gb have backwards comp. All except 20gb have wi-fi.The current 80 gig and the previous 60 gig. Thats all.60gb 80gbI just came across a site that sends you a Playstation 3 for free! I'm ordering mine right now.
