How high does the High Definition in the PS2 go?

I was thinking about getting a used PlayStation 2 but, I would like to know how high the High Definition output goes. I hope someone knows what I'm talking about.

The PS2 doesn't have any HD output, so all games should be capable of 480i only (with the rare exception of GT4).



Your only real choice when it comes to playing PS2 games in HD is to use a PS3. This will allow you to upscale PS2 games to display on HD televisions (but this means you have to make sure the PS3 can play PS2 games, as it's hit or miss since there are different models of PS3).

since when was grant turismo 4 in hd i never noticed it any better then other games when i play it it seemed good like bully in the graphics



by the way ps2 is only 480i maximum output for tv

Most games can get up to 480i. But in one case (Gran Turismo 4) It can reach up to 1080i.
