METAL GEAR SOLID 4! people that beat the game with out any alerts!?

ok do it count as an alert when u have the flash back of the first mgs? because for some reason i can't beat it now since I'm trying to not get any alerts? please help!! lol

The MGS1 flashback does not count towards your alerts, nor if you die during the flashback.



However, it's not even that hard to pass this level without an alert, just stick to the right side of the area ( near some boxes, there's only 1 guard that poses a significant threat right now), what till he's looking away, then go up the stairs when the camera is looking in the other direction, after that, go to the right end of the walkway ( you're already near it), and press against the left side of the wall and wait. After the guard on the walkway turns and walks in the other direction, go to the middle of the walkway and crawl into an air vent that you see.

The MGS1 flashback scene does not count. However, it's not hard at all to get past that little bit without triggering an alert. If you are worried though, get through that bit, save your game in a new save slot then view the mission briefings and load your save. (i'd suggest mission briefing 2, as you only need to skip twice) and view your stats and see if it says any alerts gotten.
