Why is my ps3 internet malfunctioning?

every time i sign in to play call of duty 4, and i put "find a game" it says "downloading game settings" and it says that forever so if you can help me out that would be great. thx

If it keeps repeating that same process i suggest turning your modem off then on again or unplugging ethernet cord then replugging itt in. Leave it our or off forat leastt ten seconds then plug it back in. Then click the home button and sign back in then it should load straight away. If not work straight away keep repeating process. Is this a one off situation because it usually happens every couple of weeks due to changing servers.

When you choose a game mode and you're the only person in the lobby, it means you're hosting the match. If you don't want to host, just keep exiting and entering, until you've got it.



NOTE: When you do host a match, you get the fastest and best connection out of everyone.

Reset your router/modem and see if it still does.
