Trophy's on GTA4 why?

Why is it that it said I have to make a new game in order to get my trophy what is up with that is there something I did wrong?

I know its dumb, I gotta play the game all over again to earn trophies.

Its not just u, everyone who has this game has to start over.

You're not the only one to be disappointed with that. I had to start all over too.
