Why wont Need for speed: MW for ps2 recognize my ps1 controller? ?

Why wont Need for speed: MW for ps2 recognize my ps1 controller? I've tried 3 diff controllers! Do i need to get a ps2 controller? I mean these controllers work fine with most my other games!

All EA games don't support the PS1 controller.

I don't know why, but I find it very frustrating myself.

Stupid EA.

the ps1 controller doesn't have analog sticks. therefore you can't use it for NFS:MW

EA Games Can only be played by:

Sony

or

Icon

Controllers...



There might be more but those 2 work,
