Will guitar hero 3 controller work with rock band 2 on the ps3?

Rock Band 1 had a patch released on Sept. 11, 2008 that allowed the Wireless Les Paul included with Guitar Hero 3 for the Playstation 3 to work with the game. The patch also included the tool to allow you to copy your RB1 songs to the hard drive so you could play them in RB2. So I know for a fact the PS3 GH Les Paul works with RB1. I'm almost certain that the guitar will work with RB2 as well but I haven't personally tried it. I'm not sure what the reasoning would be behind releasing a patch for RB1 to work with the GH guitar and not including support in RB2 and that's why I assume it works in RB2 as well.

yes it will...at ign.com on the playstation podcast (called beyond) they were saying the develpers are making it so you can choose for yourself which guitar to use if you have them both
