  • (please take the time to read this)

im not a gamer so im not really into buying a new console or game but i feel like playing my old nfsu 2 game and well this is my story.

a couple years ago i was playing in a thunderstorm and lightning made it turn off. ever since, it would freeze so i would punch the ps2 and it would start working then about a a year ago it stopped working. it wouldnt read my ps2 cd's only ps one. i didnt bother to fix it.

months ago i decided to open it up, i screwed with it and magically it started reading my ps2 cd's so the only thing is that it takes super long to load. for example i'll be racing and it gets to a point that it hasn't loaded the racing track. it gets me mad. well i wanted 2 know basically if its the ps2 or the game? the game its scrached but no major scratches just alot of little ones. so what i can do to fix my ps2 or fix my game? if theres anything i an do
  • There is no doubt that the system was damaged by a power surge, which is why all major electronics need to be plugged into surge protectors. The system is probably dead from old age and wear and tear...not to mention the power surge. You could get it fixed, but the PS2 is so cheap now you could buy a used one for 50 or 60 bucks.

    Good luck.
  • i would never punch ur ps2 system that could hurt it mentally i would try another game and see if the same thing happens maybe try to clean the disk with a cloth and see if any of that helps you might of damaged the ps2 by hittin it
