Playstation Mic Not Picking Up My Voice?

May be...

my mic that i got from soccom doesnt seem to pick up my voice unless i hold it at my mouth, i tried increasing the senstivity, but no change. is there possibly something that tri to use the other mic on the side or something?

the ps3 mic was tricky to connect so first disconnect it from the accessory settings menu then plug the mic in from the usb on the top and turn it on. when you sync it this way you can use HQ mode which makes sound clearer. then wear the mic and hold the power button for 2 seconds and go into the voice changer menu or into a chat room and you can hear how clear your voice is. you can also use the mic while it is in the dock if you turn it on while it is in the dock
