Are ebay stores reliable?

May be...

i was just looking around ebay for a hard drive for my ps3 and there was one that was almost 100$ less than normal retail.....this makes me think if it is really safe or not.....ive sold many things on ebay before, but i never bought anything. I'm not entirely sure if i should buy it......i also get jealous when my friends come up to me and brag how they got electronics ridiculously cheap on ebay....

Even though there are scammers out there, eBay is basically safe. Follow a few simple rules and you should be okay. One, check the ratings. See what others have to say about their experiences with the seller. If there are a lot of bad ratings then you may want to try a different seller. And if you can, use Paypal to make your payment. They have buyers protection for most transactions. I had to use it once because what I bought was completely different from what the seller advertised. Not only did I get my money back(minus a fee to Paypal), but the seller didn't want what he sent me back. I ended up basically getting the item for free. And then I resold because I didn't want it. I ended up ahead because the seller wasn't honest. Also, if you are unsure about something, ASK QUESTIONS!!! As many as you need to ask until you are satisfied. If the person is hesitant about answering or takes a long time to respond, move on to the next. And make sure they have a return policy. My personal return policy when I sell things is I will return it within 3 days after it is received, but only if it isn't the way that I described it.



Just remember that when something seems too good to be true, very rarely is it on the up-and-up. But it is possible. Just remember the old saying: Let the buyer beware.

Check the rating of the seller. If I see a guy that has only sold 6 things on eBay I won't buy from him. But if the seller has a 98%+ approval rating and has sold 1,500 items I'd go for it.

ebay is mostly safe but before you buy something, email the person that is selling it to mkae sure they aren'y yrying to scam u. please make me your best answer GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!
