I just got a PS3 for christmas and would anyone give me any tips or tricks please?

May be...
  • Hm, there's not really more than meets the eye with the PS3.

    What you should do:

-Set up a PlayStation Network ID. This is so you can go on the store and download demos, add-ons, and videos.

-You could enable WMA playback so you can play media files straight from your computer (if it shares the modem/router with your PS3). This saves time getting mdeia files to the PS3.

    -Enjoy the system.

    Safety Precautions:

-NEVER flip the back switch while the PS3 is on. This will shorten your system's life and might corrupt the hard drive.

-NEVER place the system on carpet. The static electricity just rips the system apart.

-Give the PS3 breathing room, at least 6 inches on all sides. This stops the system from overheating and will prolong the life span.
  • Enable all of the WMA settings and et cetera settings. Download a few of the free demos to get a feel for some of the games.

Experience Life with Playstation and Folding @ Home.

Setup a PSN account and play some games online :)

Modify all of the settings to get the optimum visual and sound settings.

Play games like there is no tomorrow :)
