Is Playstation 3 worth the money?

I currently have Playstation 2. I do not have a high definition tv and i will not use it for playing movies. Is it worth upgrading?

Sony Playstation 3 has the most potential graphically of the three new consoles (PS3, Xbox360, and Wii). The keyword is "potential." Controller

Sony Playstation 3's controller, the Sixaxis, is basically a modified Dual Shock 2. There are a few noticeable differences: no rumble, wireless, and the shoulder button have been made more to feel like trigger buttons. The Playstation 3's Sixaxis also have motion- sensing although it is not as advance as Nintendo Wii's controller. It's kind of disappointing that they took the rumble feature out of the controller. Another disappointment is that they didn't reposition the left analog stick into a more comfortable and natural position.

It's not a choice. It's a must. If you like PS2, you will like PS3 100X more! PS2 only plays game and some DVDs. PS3 does everything... games, internet browsing, online game/ chat/ messaging, blu-ray or DVD movies, MP3, MPEG4 or DiVX playback, photo viewer, hard drive, works with any USB devices like keyboard, mouse, USB flashdrive, etc, customizable theme (free downloads), pairs with bluetooth wirless device.. name it... PS3 has it!



It works with any TV too! Not just HDTV.
