I want a Playstation mainly for Blue ray. I figure I might own about ten ps3 games at some point, tops. I would like to get the netflix rental, or the movie download program.( Obviously vaguely understand those options.) But want enough memory for whatever needed for saving games, ect. (Care less about ps2 gaming )Which Playstation should I get? I know someone with 40g version selling for $300 with blueray remote. Good Deal?
Also, does playstation have an easy access gaming like xbox live without a fee?
Last question, I have a new IMac desktop. What am I able to do with the ps3 with a mac? I have a airport extreme router. thank you very much. I've been out of the gaming world since Rc pro am and Maniac mansion. :) Well I used to play Ghost Recon and Splinter Cell 5 years back. Cheers!!
yes the ps3 does have something like xbox live but it's called PSN. you do the same the thing on PSN like you do on LIVE except you don't have to pay, you don't hear alot of racist people, and you won't experience alot of lagging.
well, you can hook your ps3 up wireless to your mac and play with people online or just the web.
Cheers!
P.S. metal gear solid 4 is an amazing game you might very much enjoy might want to make that one of your first picks!
Online is very user friendly not a gigantic mess of menus like 360 & yes it's all FREE no fees whatsoever & you also can use the internet to browse, watch youtube videos & check your yahoo answer's 360 cannot do this.
PS3 will last you a very long time as all sony consoles are very durable
& whatever price you pay for this machine is worth every penny trust me you will understand why PS3 owner's say there so good.
As for your desktop you will be able to stream movies, music & pics directly to the PS3 without having to store it all on the PS3 hard drive
If you liked splinter cell you will love metal gear solid 4 & a fps called resistance 2 will blow you away with immense graphics & gameplay!
Hope I helped.
