Ps3 and standard non-hd tv?

I have a tv with no special features or hd. I want to get a ps3 but i would like to know if the graphics would be better than the ps2 still on the standard tv. Do you think i NEED a hdtv?

You don't need an hd tv to play a ps3. You will still be able to notice just how great the graphics are. And honestly, once you finally play those games on a hd tv, even 1080p, you'll realize that there really isn't much difference from just a standard definition tv. Sure it may be brighter, clearer, and sharper, but it isn't as magical as they want you to believe.

The graphics will be better than the PS2, but it won't be amazingly better unless you use high definition. When I first got my PS3 I used it on an old 27" 4:3 TV. It's not like the game will be bad quality, it just won't have the "wow factor."



I would suggest getting an hdtv. It is not needed, but once you play on one you won't want to go back. I finally upgraded to a 32" Toshiba 1080p. It is beautiful.



You should get your PS3. Then save up money for a nice hdtv. Don't bother getting one of those unheard of brands for like $250.

It will bet better than PS2 same as the 360. it can play blu-ray but look more or less the same as a DVD if you have no HD





oh an no you do not NEED an HD TV, it will just look better. still that blu-ray is nice and chances are it will be a good investment if you ever do go HD.

dude i have ps3 i boght it last week i have a tube tv still n dude the deatil of the game on the tv is awsome so like 1 u should stick with ur tv n den maybe wen u have alot more monwy u can buy a 42 in which is on sale now at circut city for 499 which is gud price n has gud quality so dude stik with non hd tv for now thts wat i did

well some games will look decent on the sd tv but alot of games will look really bad for example resitance for maybe even need for speed carbon might not look that great but a sports game might look good i would say you should save up money and get a 1080i tv as soon as possible

Yeah, to really enjoy and experience the PS3 you WILL need an hdtv.

i mean im getting a ps3 on a regular tv its not that big of a problem
