PS3 Fans and Owners Attention ?

I have the PS3 80G. It plays the older games, PS2 and 1. I bought the game "Grove" for PS2 and requires the PS2 Eye Toy. I have the PlayStation Eye for the PS3. When I tried to play it, the screen tells me it does not detect the Eye Toy. Do I have to buy the Eye Toy specifically for PS2 for this to work or is there a setting I don't know about? Thank you in advance.
