Ps3 freeezing up alot ?

May be...

ok i got my ps3 like last week,i dint get the year warranty



and some games freeze for like 1 second and then work fine



and today i pressed the ps button and i put quit game and it froze completely and the screen just turned pure black then i could't turn of the ps3 from the power button or the ps button so i had to turn it off from the back switch



this is like the second time this has happened



so does that happen sometimes to u guys or is there something wrong with my ps3?

That happens to my Ps3. it is cause the system will heat up if you play for a long time. after playing, give the system a hour break. or you can buy a cooling tank for it so you can play for a long time. i played GTAIV for 6 hours one time.

Stand your ps3 on it's side, and use compressed air to blow out the cd slot. and make sure your disc's don't have any schmutz on em or scratches, and you shouldn't have any more problems.
