About Ps3 / MGS4 / connection speed ? ?

So i play Mgs4 most of the time and my internet speed is like 512kbps? so i lag most of the time during the online gameplay and (im a red ping and i CAN'T HOST!!) so my question is if i upgraded the speed to 2mbps will i minimize the lagging on online and will i be enable to host a room? and is this speed fast enough?

i play at 1000kbps and i can host and play 98% lag free, so that should be fine if you went to 2mbps. By the way you also have to take into acount the fact if the host has a bad connectuion and yours is really good it will still lag.

are you connected wired or wireless? 2 mbps is the average speed of a router so you would be limited to that anyway with a router. i have an 8 mbps connection with a 2.4 mbps router, and i still do not like the wireless. i dislike ps3's wireless.

dude my internet speed is 256kbps

i play most of the time without lag(80% of the Time)

i dont know if i can Host a game or not 'cause I never tried it
