Can You Please Help Me...(ps3 question)?

May be...
  • A problem that i've been having for a while now and it's Ticking me off is that when i try to "Import" music/pics/videos on my ps3 it won't let me do it..? ok like Ex:I download some songs from Itunes and burn it on a Disc (All Legal) than i insert it on my ps3 and it Says "Disc Could Not Be Read" than when i go to the music section the songs are there..so i click on one song so i can import it. So it goes up to 99% than at 100% it say's "An Error Has Encored" than it says a bunch of Random numbers underneath that...so is this a Problem in my Ps3 or can this be fixed and if it can than Can You Please Help Me Fix This...

Oh and this is not working for Videos,Pics or music...
  • I don't think you can copy or import anything from CD. Because that is still a form of piracy and I don't think PS3 is designed to perform that task ( to prevent piracy).

You can only transfer MP3s from USB flashdrive to PS3 hard drive. But since your MP3s are from iTunes, it will not work because all MP3s from iTunes have encoded protection which will prevent you from sharing it or transferring it from 1 machine to another.

But can you play your CD directly to your PS3? If not, then there is really no way. iTunes really sucks. That's why I download from my MP3s from Limewire only. I don't buy because they make you pay more...
  • you can too import songs from cd's on the ps3. i just did it. the problem your having with the vids and music from itunes is that the music is not mp3's. its protected aac's, and the videos are protected mpg4's. your ps3's not authorized to rip them because itunes didnt say it was ok, apple=fu Report Abuse
  • We need the numbers. The numbers are the error code. Like, for instance, i tried an update. It failed. It said a code and i looked it up online and it turns out my internet wasnt strong enough. i hook it up with a wired router and ta da...
  • I have no idea, I did the same as you and it worked.

If your ps3 is not too old, call tech support.

    Sorry
  • A couple of suggestions...

It could be that you are burning onto a CDRW or leaving your CDR disk writing session 'open'. Normally leaving the session open is only a good idea if you intend to write more data to the disk at a later date. I haven't tried to see if the PS3 will read disks with unclosed sessions on them but a lot of equipment won't.

If it is all items downloaded from iTunes then it could be a form of DRM protection (Digital Rights Management) which the PS3 is complaining about. Try playing it on a different computer using something other than iTunes (e.g. Media Player or VLC) if you can and see if that works without fussing.
  • open windows media player on ur pc and ensure all ur mp3s are in the libary, photos and vids too

click on libary tab to bring up menu and select media sharing....pair ur pc with ps3........enable media sharing on ur ps3 and scan for servers

should display a new icon under photo, video, and music........this is ur pc

browse till u find file u want to play or copy.....hit play or view to check its compatiable ....if it works come out of file and then hit triangle and copy to hard drive

no disks or flash drives needed
