URGENT QUESTION PLEASE HELP ADVICE NEEDED AHHHH!!!!!?

May be...
  • Should I get a PS3? I would probably only use it for guitar hero and an occasional bluray movie. Maybe borrow little big planet and ratchet and clank, but I'm not

Much of a hardcore gamer. My friend has a ps3 w guitar hero world tour.
  • If your not a big gamer.. i wouldn't because you would get tired of playing it, then sooner or later you would stop playing it.. i would just go to your friends house whenever you wanted to play.
  • If that's all you're going to use the PS3 for, then no, you shouldn't get it. You're talking about 400/500 bucks here just for a few games and a few Blu-ray movies.

You can use that money towards a DVD Upconverter, and the DVD movie will look almost as good as a Blu-ray movies (especially if you have a medium to small size HD TV).

Get it if you plan on buying a lot of games for it or you plan on watching a lot of Blu-ray movies.
  • ya. wow. really urgent question amazingly stupid actually. but if you want to buy one and you have the money, i say go for it.
  • Definately .You can store all your phots , music and Videos on it .Plus its a good if not top quality Blu ray player and an awesome games console.

    You cant go wrong.
  • umm NO!

    Ps2 is sooo much better.

My brother has a PS3 and it was the biggest mistake ever!

Xbox360 does all of that too!

    And its wayyyy better!
  • Yeah. Get one. They are amazing. :D
  • Just download play frets of fire.
  • It all depends how much money you have.
  • i dont understand what u mean by u need help cuz it dosent seem like it.
  • This isn't very urgent at all, and so you strike me as someone who would make ill-advised purchases. But buying a ps3 is an excellent choice.

I've had mine for over a year now. The blu-ray player is superb, and video quality, speed, and audio quality is un-matched. I guarantee that through buying a playstation 3, you will discover some of it's amazing features, and begin to use it more than you had previously expected.

It has a wireless internet receiver, and browsing the web is simple, fun, and safer than any computer out today - spyware, adware, and viruses DO NOT come in ps3 format. View all the porn you wish.

It serves as a media station, which absolutely destroys the xbox 360. Even a 30GB playstation 3 will provide you with a seemingly 'unlimited' amount of space. You can store music, videos, and photos, as well as text files and custom themes.

You can link your ipod, or any mp3 player with a USB cord, charging the player, as well as copying it's songs, videos, pictures, or playing the songs and videos through your tv. This is especially awesome if you have a nice sound system to go along with it.

Blu-ray is the new format of information discs, and DVD, like VHS, will eventually be pushed out of the way. Until a newer format comes out and reigns supreme, your ps3's Blue-ray player should last you a lifetime. Literally.

If you really want to get technical, providing you have space (I have a 60GB ps3, plenty of room) you can designate a set amount of hard-disk space, upload a windows disc, and use the ps3 as a computer as well, functioning both ways. This means microsoft word, msn, and mozilla - anything you have on your computer - can be run on the ps3, providing you have the windows system loaded on it. It works sort of like a Mac, prompting whether or not you would like to run windows or mac at the beginning.

Regardless, attaching a wireless mouse and keyboard via USB output plug in, makes browsing the internet a breeze, whether you double the ps3 as a computer or not.

To top it off, the game quality is superb. Less selection, but sony choose QUALITY rather than microsoft's infamous QUANTITY. I'm sure you will use it for more than Little Big Planet, or Guitar Queero (it is such a terrible game).

Dead Space, Resistance 2, Turok - a few examples of amazing games that really absorb you into the experience.

The best part about buying a ps3 is it's longevity. Xbox will die out soon enough. Microsoft is already re-re-hashing halo 3, and cannot compete with the Blu-Ray disc format (they store more information, improving game play speed, graphics, etc etc..) If you purchase a system for the sake of purchasing a system, go big or go home. The ps3 is an amazing break through in home entertainment technology, using it soley for Blu-rays or not.
