Do ps2 controllers work on a 60gb ps3?

May be...
  • i know this is a stupid question but i want to make sure. Do ps2 controllers work on a ps3? or do i have to buy new ps3 controllers altogether?
  • PS2 controllers will work with PS3's (any one of them), if you are willing to buy a PS2-PS3 controller adapter. Just search up "PS2 to PS3" on eBay. You could get the adapter for a little more than $5. I've tried it, so I know that it works... The PS3 won't detect movements like a SIXAXIS or a DUALSHOCK 3 controller ( the official PS3 controllers) would, but all the buttons will be 100% functional. If you want to save money, this would be a perfect option, since a new PS2 controller + an adapter is around $25, and a new PS3 DUALSHOCK 3 is around $60.

    Hope this helps!!
