Help connecting ps3 to internet?

I have a laptop that is on wireless and i have connected it to my ps3, it has found the ip address but wont connect to the internet. Can anyone tell me what to do or give me some tips?

After either plugging in your ethernet chord or not if you have wireless,

go to network settings. have it do everything automatically, don't type in an IP just say automatic. if you desire wireless, tell it to scan.

well u need to know what the problem is. Depending on the situation u can type ur ip address into ur url bar and change the settings of ur wireless router(laptop). i would not recommend using ur laptop however because it will be very slow broadband connections are the best for game systems.
