My PS3 80gb once froze whilst i was accessing a message whilst on a game. Do you think that is bad?

May be...
  • I have the 80 GB CECHL01 model and it happens to me quite often. Even though PS3 has been out for a while, there are bound to be many problems that have not been addressed.

If it continues to happen, you should probably check into your internet connection settings and if there is another setting available, such as switching from wireless to ethernet or vice versa, try that.

Also, I would suggest buying a temperature monitor and fan for the PS3. They can be found most easily at a GameStop or Electronics Boutique store, or bought online. One of the biggest problems with the PS3 and a result of freezing is overheating of the system.

Update your PS3 (in the settings menu the 1st option)

go on the internet browser on the PS3 then go on the menu press triangle then on one of them there are delete cookies and the delete the others as well as cookies

check the disc if it has fingerprints or scratches if it does then thats your problem

if you have the 60GB sos mate they have alot of problems

or maybe try this put the PS3 on then press the eject button (with no disc in) then hold it then switch the PS3 off at the back with your finger on the eject button still holding it then put it back on then the fan test should be working this may cool it down

if this problem still continues go out and buy a inter cooler from a shop

if it STILL CARRIES ON phone up sony
