Probably a very stupid question about ps3?

May be...
  • I just bought a playstation 3 an when you put a disk in it loads for almost like 15mins. Why does it do that? Is it saving it? Can you play it later without the disk?
  • Some game have mandatory installs.. to cut down on loading times while playing games.. no you can not play without the disk
  • If you insert any game disc for the first time then it save it to its hard-disk which helps on loading the game at fastest speed and then after it starts directly and it loads from its hard-disk which makes the lowest use of the disk that you have inserted because of which the disk that you have inserted is almost not used which does not allow the disk to get scratched .

But you can not play game without game disc inserted .
  • Do you mean justt he first time you put the game in?

If so then it couls be installing it, this cuts down the in-game loading times.

If not, then could be a problem in the console.

If you bought it second hand, then, oh dear.

If its new, take it back and complain.
  • you need to download the firmware or the game patch update. you need to hook it up on the internet.
  • MIne doesent do that. Try hooking it up to the internet and download the update
  • No questions are stupid my son!
