Ps3 games... need help?
May be...
Why is it that when i buy ps3 games it forces me to install them? like saints row 2, end war, gta 4, i haved an 80gb ps3 and at 4-5gb per game its not gonna last long is it? is the install optional or must i have to play the games? Because Blu Ray has a slow read speed of 2x, when DVD is 16x on average. If they didn't install them on the hard drive, then you would have to wait a very long time to load them, about the same as the installation time, maybe longer. i think it is optional but it might be like an update patch on the 360...i refused the first time when i played little big planet and i didnt have any problems... but i ended up doing it anyway because i was bored. IT'S NOT INSTALLING the games. It's just installing the preview video that appears on your XMB and creates game data folder on your PS3. it doesn't take so much space. I don't have to install them into my hardrive. maybe it the data that is taking at least 2-3 gb.
