Free DLC on PSN (Downloadable Content on Playstation Network)?

May be...
  • What is free?

i heard about one guy at gametrailers.com who thought everything was free, and ended up spending lyk $200 without knowing...

Do things say FREE/COSTS $___ on them clearly?

And what is free? I heard it is Demos, Trailers and Wallpapers...anything else?
  • Well if he thought everything was free he was an idiot. On top of that you have to enter Credit Card info in to your "wallet" or put money in it. So if you don't want to pay for things then just remove your CC info. I don't have my CC info in my "wallet" so they aren't going to let me try to download things that aren't free. See how easy it is to avoid the issue.
  • The cost of the item you want to get will be shown on the thumbnail of that item. So if it's free it will say so. It is very clear. Demos are all free. Pictures or wallpapers are free and there are free themes as well, however there are now premium themes which were recently added and you have to pay for those. There is free DLC for some games. Resistance (1) map packs are now free, though they used to cost money when they first came out. The packs for Unreal Tournament 3 are all free, and they basically add a game's worth of content to it. There are some (few) free songs for Guitar Hero and I think there's one for Rock Band. There's more free DLC for some games but you'll have to check it out under add-on content.
  • Things that are free on the PSN will say FREE under the name of the DLC.

If it is to buy, it will show the amount of money for Example.

    Crash Commando

    $9.99
