I have a ps3 gb question?

May be...
  • is the playstation 3 160 gb necessary or is the 80gb all u need?
  • There is no real need for the 160gb console. No one should be able to fill an 80gb console unless they have an insane amount of videos, music and games installed. I own one an 80gb myself and I still have 30gb left on it and it's over a year old. Besides both the current 80gb and 160gb don't play PS2 games so the only advantage to paying an extra $100 bucks is you get Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, a free download of PAIN and some more hard drive space which you don't need and if down the road you do need it, you could buy a much larger hard drive (320gb-500gb) for $80-$100, and replace the stock one (as long as the replacement drive is 2.5 inch, at 5400RPM, this doesn't void the warranty and is completely allowed by Sony). If you really wanted Uncharted you can buy it by itself for much cheaper.
  • it really depends how much you plan on putting on the hard drive. If you have a lot of games, videos, etc then you might be better off with the 160. howver for most people the 80gb is all you need. You can always upgrade to a 500gb hard drive for another $100
  • wat dose it matter if you need space then go big. they normaly say go big or go home but who cares any more and dude that said his 40gb gose slow its not the hdd that makes your ps3 more faster its the internet or your processers overheating stop being stupid
  • You'll be fine with the 80 gb. If you need more storage space, just get a bigger internal 5400 RPM SATA laptop hard drive.
  • 80 GB is fine

but if you want to put a lot of songs and video, the 160 GB is more than enough
  • 80GB is fine

    160GB seems too much
  • 80 GB is good enough
  • I would chose 80 g.

    I have the 40 it's alot slower
