The PS3 does an exceptional job at keeping itself cool. You should not need another fan or any other sort of air conditioning to assist it. If your PS3 is overheating you have it in a bad place or you aren't giving enough open space to the vents.

It is a cooling system so you can play games or surf the web for longer. I think they cost like 30-50 bucks. They should be free, huh? I paid 500 bucks to get the system and i can't play Ps2 games and it heats up.

I heard the external fans are useless someone told me and then they make pointless excessive noise
