No, and they shouldn't really start to charge for it cos it's been free for ages now, they would lose a heap to xbox live if they did, even if it were cheaper.

PSN is great, xbox live is still far better tho, i wouldn't fancy paying for something that just wasn't up to standard.

it wouldn't surprise me if we did have to start paying tho, but they'd HAVE to start issuing PSN prepay cards in europe for it to work because not everyone has access to a credit card to pay for it and the content on it...

Free online play & built in WIFI





If it was just built in wifi, people would get 360 as it has better online play, if Sony did do it, it would last like 2 weeks max, then they'd give it for free again because they would lose too much





They get income from free online play anyway, the game companies pay Sony to allow their game to have online play (that increases their sales, so they can give the money invested) which Sony pays for the servers.





As you can see, we do pay for PSN, BUT basically, we pay for the right to play a game online, when we buy it.

No way, why would Sony want to just give up one of their biggest advantages over Microsoft. Sony is doing fine. The video game industry is doing fine too. There is no recession in the video game industry. (Or in the industry I work in, either, fortunately for me)

no beacuse ps3 has wifi in it and if they made us pay for online then people would just go to xbox beacuse lots of people have more xbox then ps3

Free online gaming is one of PS3's selling point. I doubt Sony is going to charge for online gaming.
