How do you use nitrous oxide in gran turismo 4 on the playstation 2?

May be...

i know you can buy and install a nitrous kit for your cars in gran turismo 4. but does anyone know how to use it?

I believe the button is R1. You hold it down when you need some "boost" (not tap it like in the Fast & Furious movies). You can adjust the shot amount when tuning the vehicle. Higher shots give bigger boost, but uses more gas. Lower shots do the opposite.
