one of the best games of all time for the ps2 is the star wars battlefront series. even if you don't like star wars it requires no prior knowledge of the movies, however it offers some of the best multiplayer experiences on the system, and at under 20 bucks it one you cant pass up

Shadow of the Colossus, it is arguably the best PS2 game ever made.
