Is a Playstation 3 with Little Big Planet a good gift idea for a 13 year old ?

I was wondering if a PS3 with LBP is a good present for someone that is turning 13., or is it a system that is worth at all? And also, if LBP is a good game choice for someone with no PS3 experience and if not what would you recommend?

It is a good game for anyone, it doesn't have anything inappropriate in it, and it is VERY fun. He doesn't need experience, since he will gain his experience through playing the game.

EDIT: What the heck? Someone said that LBP is for 7 year olds? Don't listen to him, that is so not true. My friend's brother (17 years old) loves that game! And he isn't a nerd, or a geek or anything like that. Just cause it is rated E for Everyone doesn't mean it isn't for teenagers and such...

Yes PS3 is worth it. Little Big Planet is more of a game for younger kids and older gamers who miss the 2D classics. So a 13 year old is caught in the middle between the two. He may still enjoy it but there are other choices I would put in front of it.



here are a few other ones I would recommend instead:

InFamous (comes out next month)

Street Fighter IV

Killzone 2 (If you dont mind him playing a game with bad language and blood)

Assassin's Creed

Everybody who says LittleBigPlanet is for kids has never played the game.



It isn't about shooting or violence, but it is the most purely FUN game on the market today.

yeah if i was 13 i would like that and more since it is free because i had to pay about 500 bucks for one and it was a really hard decision but if you have the money go for it

For a 13 year old guy, it would be better to get Street fighter 4

okay we are considering giving a 13 year old a $500 system, i don't think so

sorry no thats more of a 7 year old and even then they would prefer a action game or fighting game or sports like football
