Is it true that new PS3's store the XMB on their HDD?if yes then what PS3 model that does this?

ALL ps3's store their XMB on their HDD, they use 6-10% of your HDD for the XMB, updates, etc. that's why if you don't have a hard drive in your PS3 it won't even work, but they all come with one so...it doesn't matter which PS3 model you get
