Playstation 3 controller and Computer connection?

I connected the Playstation 3 controller to my computer via USB of course. I went to Control Panel>Hardware And Sound>Game Controllers, and it says.



PLAYSTATION(R)3 Controller and the status says OK. I tested the controller, however, the computer didn't process the buttons I was inputting and such. What could be the problem? I tried playing a game with it, but it doesn't work when I try inputting the information.

I...don't think you can do that.... Or ever to my understanding. Now an xbox controller, sure because it's by microsoft, but ps3 controller..no..O.o...It's just not supported by it...If your going to use any controller with your computer it's probably going to have a specially bought PC controller or an xbox controller.
