PS3 resident evil 5 trophy question?

I'm really close to beating resident evil 5 on pro mode and got every trophy besides the one you get for beating the game on pro mode. My friend has 96 percent on RE5 in trophies and i asked him if you got it from just the single player or howd he get it and he said you need all the trophies outside the versus mode. Is this true?
