PSP Memory card question?

May be...
  • I just got a Psp and i haven't had a portable gaming system since i was 9 years old and i wanted to know if i needed a memory card to save my games or if they save just like the old game boy just in the game
  • yer, ur gona need a memory card, a 1gb will b more than enough, u can hold a save for every psp game every made on it ad have room 2 spare XD, plus the psp uses a non rewritable disc, so good luck saving on2 a umd :P
  • hi ben i do currently own a psp and well it would depend how old your psp is the first models came out with a 512 mb included but the new models from i think 2002 onwards did not

it depends what you wanna use your psp for as u well know u can store pictures movies and music on it so if that something u wanna do over time then i suggest that you purchase a bigger card such as 2 to 4 GB if it only games u will by playing and saving then 1GB is more then enough and u looking to save well up to 50 games if not more
  • You do need a Memory Card, but unlike other portable systems you require a Memory Stick PRO duo memory card, which can be picked up at any electronics store in various sizes depending on what you plan to use your PSP for. If you only plan to use it for gaming a 1gb stick will be fine. If you're going to use it for music, videos, gaming, etc. then a 4gb stick at least is a good idea and it shouldn't cost much more than $50.
  • The PSP has been rumoured to being using downloads more than UMDs now, so I suggest an 8GB memory stick, seeing that you can now download DLC and games from the PSP's Playstation Store.

Games should take no more than 10MB. If you're planning on simply using UMDs then A 512MB will do you fine.
  • you need to get the a memory card. the memory card that will work with the psp is called:

    Memory Stick PRO DUO.

game saves will be saved the folder psp then savedata

    goodluck.
  • you definitely need a Memory stick. I would go for 2gb or above, but just for save game files, 1gb would be fine. you need a bigger one if you want to watch videos, listen to music, etc.
  • you need a memory card to save games. some games even let you download demos and let you get minigames and achievements in ps3 games
