Do you guys think Syphon Filter 5 is coming 2010 to PS3?

May be...
  • I was over hearing Syphon Filter 5 is coming to PS3. This time with extra bonus because I heard San Francisco, CA will be featured in the game. I can't hardly wait!
  • Where did you get this information, i would love to see Syphon Filter 5 be release, the only question is, would the game sell, and would Sony give it a special treatment, by making it a Triple a game, just like the other blockbuster games Sony makes, also someone needs to tell the user who answer your question, that it's a fact sequel games make more money then original games

That's why the publishers such as Sony, Capcom, Square Enix, Microsoft, Nintendo, Rockstar Games, and more etc, feel more conferable releasing sequels to there blockbuster games, if this user thinks a current company like Microsoft, are going to stop making Halo's sequel's then this user has to think again, as long as Halo keeps bringing money to Microsoft, the more they are going to publish the game,

The same goes for Final Fantasy, and Resident Evil series, Square Enix and Capcom would never stop, making those games, because they sell, by making them the most money, just like Sony is going to keep making more God of War games in the future, but there going to make sure it's development is as long as possible, and not rush the games for just money

So to answer your question, yes, it all depends on Syphon Filter 5 development, with how it's shaping up, who knows Sony might show off a trailer for this game, at this years E3, or they could hold off a trailer for sometime next year, the PS3 isn't going anywhere, s i wouldn't be surprise to see some information
  • Gabe Logan, right...

You will find after the game is released that you really aren't excited at all, you'll finish the story and be done with it and then your attention will be diverted by some other company with "[game title] 5" where [game title] 1 was on the ps1. Or even worse, something with Sonic in the title which started on Sega Genesis.

No game deserves 4 sequels. Letting games repeat themselves over and over again ruins the market for original games. How many awesome new games would there be on the mighty ps3 if developers had to actually be creative instead of rehashing the same games over and over and over again, using modern engines to claim they're different. Like saying sonic is different cause it's in 3D and HD now. It's not different, it's the same blue critter with sneakers who goes too fast to control accurately and the goal is still to pick up gold rings.

Look at God of War 3. How is a [game title] 1 supposed to make it in an environment where it's competing with the past? Nobody knows anything about God of War 3 except for there was God of War 2 and God of War. But God of War 3 must be the best thing coming, everyone says so. And there was Resident Evil 5; Guitar Hero 5 is coming; there will be a Rock Band 3 before long; Killzone 2; Red Faction Guerrilla (3); so many damn sequels that there is no room in anyone's attention span for more than 2 or 3 original games, and those spots always go to games that are hyped up, whether they deserve it or not.

The original games that inhabit the coveted "somebody has heard of it" spot are, right now, inFamous and Massive Action Game. MAG might deserve it. Infamous does not. I have seen the trailers, it's nothing special. At least it is better than the sequels, though, they're nothing special either. Killzone 2, nothing special. Nobody is still mooning about how Killzone 2 was so great. They have forgotten it. They found out the truth, that "great graphics" was a hook to get them to buy it.

SCEA sent me a ps2 copy of the Syphon Filter Dark Mirror demo a couple years ago. It was ok. It reminded me of about 20 covert-tactics style 3d games on ps2. I didn't buy it. The series is done.
