Does PS3 Blu Ray player have the resume on feature?

May be...
  • I have a 30GB Sony PS3.

I have tried and tried to resume play on this stupid device and I'm convinced now that it cannot be done.

People have said it can be done and given me advise, but to no avail.

I'll ask one more time. How do I get my PS3 Blu Ray to start from where I left off after I turn the machine off. That is not completely off but the red light on in the front?

If I cannot do it my only option is to buy a new Blu Ray player, as I have the complete Battlestar Galactica Blu Ray preordered already, and I'm not fast forewarding it!!
  • Im sorry that first answer you received was from a non intelligent person. I resume play all the time even if I turn it off in the back. One thing about the BD player is they ask you have the internet connection enabled. It pulls automatically that way to resume right where it left off. It the main menu of the movie it should ask if you want to connect to use this feature and you click yes. I do it all the time and it works great with no delays.
  • Hello, first the PS3 does not have that feature because its a progressive scan system, that means that you can play the BR movie but you cannot resume it where you left it if you turn off your system , if you where watching a season the better option its to pause the movie and un pause it again.

    Hope this help you through
