My PS3's web browser is very laggy and it freezes sometimes,is that normal?

Yes this is perfectly normal. The PS3 has not got a very good web browser so it is not ideal for surfing the web.

However, if you are just going websites like google and it is freezing.. try going into your PS3's temporary internet files and cache and clearing it. If that doesn't work and you are still getting freezes and lag... It might be a problem with your internet. Are you hooking up wirelessly? Maybe you don't have a clear connection with your wireless router and could need a new one or are not in range to it. If possible, hook it up to a wired connection and you will see a difference in speed. Are you on DSL? That creates major problems with your internet and could be THE reason why you are getting lag and freezing.
