What is the ps2 system data on the psn?

hello I got ps2 system data of the psn and it it useless

That data is to enable PS2 games that required the PS2 harddrive in order to play it to play on the backward compatible PS3s. The only game I know of is that Final Fantasy game that was built in, so this data is useless to you unless you have that PS2 game.

Only one game ever used that and that was Final Fantasy XI Online for PS2, so unless you have that game you don't need it.



it's got to do with how Final Fantasy XI used the PS2 HDD and that file adds the compatibility for PS3
