Why wont Jak and Daxter work on ps3?

May be...

I got Jak and Daxter, the first one. I started it up and it worked fine until i got a precursor orb. The fame froze and i waited til it fixed itself. Once i picked up another orb it stopped. so i went back to gamestop and got another copy. Same problem. I have the older one. the one that has MGS4 with it. Anyway any help is good. Did you check the compatibility list in PS website if it will work on your BC PS3? Remember that PS3 has only limited compatibility with PS2 games.

I think you have the old 80GB PS3 so it should work. There may be something wrong with the laser used to read PS2 games. Try other PS2 games to make sure
