You can redownload your add-ons as many times as needed via your download list so there is no need to back it up. Same goes for the games themselves purchased in the PSN.

Can I save my add ons to a flash drive before I install them on Ps3?
May be...
I'm downloading the map pack for call of Duty 5 on my ps3, I was wondering If I can save it to a flash drive so i can have it backed up, because I delete it a lot so I don't have to play with campers on online No.
